Afrikan Ridge Chenin Chardonnay

Grapes : Chenin Blanc(60%), Chardonnay (40%)

Best enjoyed chilled at around 8-10 degrees.

Tasting Notes : The tropical flavour profiles varying between very pronounced guava, ripe apple and pear of the Chenin Blanc that combines well with the citrus and ripe passion fruit notes of the Chardonnay. The doughy earthiness and buttered toast aromas of the Chardonnay adds complexity and richness, also providing the structure and length that ultimately defines this fine wine.

Origin : A well-balanced blend of two delicious grape varieties makes for an exciting, refreshing white wine. Chenin Blanc, a grape variety that does particularly well in South Africa, makes up the majority blend in this wine. Selected only from the finest vineyards close to the Paardeberg mountain slopes, these grapes bring finesse and minerality to the wine. The Chardonnay grapes are grown in the warmer region of Paarl, which allows the grapes to ripen fully, producing zingy tropical notes with undertones of citrus. Brought together these two grapes produce a wine which is balanced and elegant, with vibrant tropical flavours and exciting citrus notes.
